External Engagement
At FSN we aim to use our ownership position to drive positive change. We believe that we can further scale our contribution by mobilizing and cooperating with others too. In addition, international ESG frameworks have influenced what we view as material ESG risks and opportunities, including the UN Global Compact to which we are signatories.

Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
In 2005, our Senior Advisor and former Chairperson, Knut Kjær, was among those invited by the UN Secretary at that time, Kofi Annan, to draft the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
FSN joined the PRI in 2012 and has since been reporting on our sustainability performance across a set of categories. Adhering to UN PRI’s six principles is a natural part of our investment approach and the foundation for our Responsible Investment Policy. We welcome how PRI continues to drive the responsible investing agenda.

In 2023, we achieved our highest PRI score yet with a 100/100 score across all applicable categories.
Among the first six private equity firms to set Science Based Targets
In 2021, we collaborated with five other private equity firms, all peers of the Initiative Climat International (iCI), to contribute to the development of the Science Based Targets initiative’s tailored guidance for the private equity industry. Read the full press release here.
FSN Capital was one of the first private equity firms to set Science Based Target. Read the full press release here.

Driving Industry Change
Engaging with industry initiatives enables us to stay at the forefront of ESG best practices. By collaborating with global organizations, we contribute to the development of standards, share insights, and enhance transparency across our investments.
